Gilda (1946)

The projected film was Gilda (1946), starring Rita Hayworth. One of Red's (Morgan Freeman) earlier flashbacks was that fellow prisoner Andy (Tim Robbins) had asked for "Rita Hayworth" (a wall poster of the pin-up Hollywood star), to cover up his digging hole.
