Raja Harishchandra (1913) is a Indian silent film, directed and produced by Dadasaheb Phalke.

The film was based on the legend of Raja Harishchandra, recounted in the Ramayana and Mahabharata.
It was a simple recording of a wrestling match which was screened in 1899 and is considered as the first motion picture in the Indian Film Industry.
